Fleece is a knit fabric that is brushed on one or both sides to create its signature soft, insulating surface. Its knit construction provides greater natural flexibility than a woven fabric while remaining lightweight and comfortable. Polyester fleece traps small pockets of air within the brushed fibers, helping retain warmth without adding significant weight. Because the fibers themselves absorb very little moisture, fleece dries quickly and continues to provide insulation even when slightly damp.
