Despite its name, scuba neoprene is not true neoprene but a substantial double-knit fabric designed to emulate the smooth appearance and body of foam-backed neoprene. The interlocking knit construction creates a fabric with excellent stretch, recovery, and opacity while remaining lighter and more flexible than traditional neoprene.
